I am a Professor of Computer Science at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. My cybersecurity research group has discovered a number of new classes of attacks and introduced novel defenses for systems, networks, and software.

I am on sabbatical for AY 2025-2026.
I regularly teach Network Security and other cybersecurity courses at Khoury College.
I have served on a number of program committees. I am currently an Associate Chair for IEEE Security and Privacy 2026 and the Network and Distributed System Security Symposium (NDSS 2026).
I am the lead PI for Northeastern's Scholarship for Service (SFS) award. SFS
provides qualified students with tuition, professional development funds, and other benefits in exchange for
post-graduate service in a cybersecurity-related position within the U.S. Government.
I have organized and participated in many Capture-the-Flag (CTF) competitions. I helped organize DEF CON CTF from 2018-2021 as a member of Order of the Overflow. I was also a founding member of Shellphish, with whom I won DEF CON CTF in 2005.
